Network Rail has invested millions in developing a world class apprentice scheme. Individuals are carefully chosen then heavily invested in terms of training and support across 3 years.
But something is going wrong when these individuals go out to work in teams on the railway. Their research shows that very often the working environment, which to most of your people is second nature, makes it very difficult to get the best out of Apprentices and new Recruits.
