Big Lottery Fund

Making a BIG Difference (Cutdown)

The Big Lottery Fund (BIG) is a non-departmental UK public body responsible for distributing funds raised by the National Lottery.

They required an honest, from-the-heart film to showcase the benefits of the BIG Lottery project partnerships. The tone of the film had to reflect the energy and diversity of the projects BIG are involved in, to attract new partners and show the potential their involvement can have both for the project and themselves.

Produced in English and Welsh the film was launched across the UK at corporate events, conferences and meetings to audiences comprising potential investors, local government, and the voluntary sector.

In the year of its launch it was aired by the Community Channel over 100 times. It’s available to watch via BIG’s website, social media sites and blogs, features on BIG’s recruitment pages and is shown as part of their induction.  In the first four months of its launch, it was the most watched video on BIG’s YouTube channel and to date has been viewed over 7,000 times.

It also featured on BIG’s intranet and received feedback including:

  • Makes you feel really proud of the Big Lottery Fund and privileged to work here
  • I absolutely love it!
  • I think it’s fantastic, the best film I have seen which highlights our work

We’ve since gone on to collaborate with BIG on several other influential film projects.
